CE Certificates & a Survey

I’ve just finished compiling the list for CE certificates and have sent it on to CDLC. They’ll be getting those together after ALA Annual is over. So watch for those later in July.

In August we’ll be asking you to respond to a short survey about the program.

And till then, I’m going to make myself scarce and go on vacation without my computer! Hope you all have a wonderful summer!

From Learn with CDLC to 23 Things for Professional Development

23 Things for Professional DevelopmentThe 23 Things for Professional Development program started today. I’m excited to see that we have quite a few Learn with CDLC folks continuing with their online learning adventure and joining in the program! Hooray.

Maybe we can form our own little support group and continue to cheer each other on? Summer is a busy time for everyone, so any encouragement we can give each other will be great.

Did I miss anyone? Let me know and I’ll update this post!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the program. Whether you finished all 10 things, or 5 or just a few, everyone who participated learned something new. So pat yourselves on the back and continue sharing and learning.

(And if you did finish all 10 things and your name isn’t on the list of folks who finished, leave a comment here so we can fix it!)

23 Things for Professional Development

Don’t forget about this learning opportunity starting on June 20!

If you want to continue learning more “things” over the summer, here’s a terrific opportunity! The 23 Things for Professional Development program starts June 20 and just like our Learn with CDLC project, it’s a self-directed learning program.

23 Things is a self-directed course aimed at introducing you to a range of tools that could help your personal and professional development as a librarian, information professional or something else.

Some of the things they’re covering are the same as what you’ve been learning here and  would be a great chance to further explore those topics. And best of all, there are lots of new topics and opportunities to connect with colleagues all over the world.  This sounds like fun.  For news and updates, follow their tweets at @cpd23.

I’m going to try and join in. Who else is on board?
